Heavy precipitation in October 2015 caused significant flooding in South Carolina, which in turn put dams across the state under duress. Staff at the Natural Resources Conservation Service utilized DamWatch to efficiently monitor and respond to alerts at dams in South Carolina, ensuring public safety throughout the event. Durgin and Larry Caldwell, members of the Natural Resources Conservation Service, have prepared a report on the experience of NRCS staff using DamWatch during the October 2015 storms affecting South Carolina.
